I had hard time to make his face look good, it was quite small details that I did with the airbrush. I used detail paintbrush here and there.
Front of the helmet was "lonely" looking and the 8-ball was important to my client, so I fitted it front on the helmet.
Video of what the whole helmet looked like at this point.
Now, I was unhappy with the 8-ball, it looked like white disc - so I erased it and re-painted it with warmer colors.
Final version of the 8-ball. I was really happy of the outcome.
Grim reaper was looking too pale, so I added flames...
... and, of course, I wasn't happy with the first flames - erase and re-paint.
Now, with clear coat on - sorry for the blurry photos...
Video of the helmet - the video stops for few seconds, so ignore that
Grim reaper helmet - airbrushed
I had a client that wanted airbrush painting on his helmet. I didn't count the hours I used on this, but I started before Christmas and finished it at first week of May. Why soooo long? Client said "there is no rush and no need to stress" - so I took my time and I'm clad I did.
I used to do my work really fast, within short time frame - but not anymore. I now days say that I'm not the fastest painter.
